Great things to come

We are near the halfway mark in the season and and it has been everything I hoped it would be and more. With the Knicks sitting second in the Atlantic division and sixth over all in the East, they are light years ahead of where they were last season.  With this season we have seen a shortened rotation turned into an eight-game winning streak, tough losses to teams with winning records, lackluster support from the bench, and injuries.

To sum it all up 21-14 is a much better record for the start of January. Overall this Knicks’ have improved as a unit and the development of some bench players have been better than others.  More to the point:

Shawne Williams is a nice surprise with his sharp shooting three-point shots and with each game you can tell he is becoming comfortable with putting ball on the floor when defenders run him off the three point line.

Timothy Mozgov has been placed on the back of a milk carton; tell me if you see him?

Bill Walker needs to find his offense but until then just keep playing solid defense and rebound the ball, and that goes the same for the rest of the team.

Toney Douglas continues to play better and this gives Raymond Felton a break so he’s not playing every second of the game.

Ronny Turiaf a.k.a Mr. T has been inserted back into the line up since the injury to Gallo and I think this is a better starting line up.

Can I get a rebound?
Speaking of rebounding, if there was one thing that has been annoying the hell out of me about this Knicks squad is–it’s rebounding (or lack thereof). I couldn’t care less about us holding opponents under 100-points as long as we out score them, but please do not let them out-rebound us. As the season continues the schedule is getting tougher and with the Knicks pulling out wins against teams like OKC and the Spurs, that’s a very good look!

Next up for us are the LA Lakers and I cannot help but to get excited about this game.  For my entire LA Lakers fan I am a Lakers hater. I am so excited to see how the Knicks play against the defending NBA champs. Go Knicks!!!
